Cookie Policy

Cookies are small text files stored on your device by a website. They allow the site to remember information about your visit — such as your session status — so you do not have to re-authenticate on every page.

Similar technologies include local storage and session storage, which serve comparable purposes but are handled entirely in your browser memory.

Session cookie (menly-session): Set when you log in to the dashboard. HttpOnly (not accessible by JavaScript), Secure, SameSite=Lax. This cookie expires when you close your browser or sign out. It is strictly necessary — the dashboard cannot function without it.

CSRF token cookie: A short-lived token used to protect form submissions against cross-site request forgery. Strictly necessary.

We do not currently set any analytics, advertising, or persistent preference cookies on the marketing site or dashboard.

When a guest scans your QR code and views your menu, we do not set any cookies on their device. View counts are recorded server-side without a client-side identifier or fingerprint.

This means your guests are not tracked across sessions or sites.

Stripe (payment): When you access billing pages, Stripe may set cookies for fraud detection. These are set on stripe.com, not on menly.ch, and are governed by Stripe's Privacy Policy.

We do not embed any advertising networks, social media trackers, or third-party analytics scripts.

You can control cookies through your browser settings. Blocking the session cookie will prevent you from logging into the dashboard. Guest menu pages are unaffected.

Most browsers provide options to: view currently stored cookies, delete individual or all cookies, block cookies from specific sites, and block third-party cookies entirely.

Note that blocking strictly necessary cookies will degrade your experience. We do not support a cookie consent banner because we only set strictly necessary cookies.

If we introduce non-essential cookies in the future (for example, product analytics), we will update this policy and add a consent mechanism before any such cookies are set.
